6 months down!

A few weeks ago I had a successful trip to Babies R Us with Kaitlyn! So grateful for Kaitlyn and her patience with me and my in-decisions! Babies R Us can be a very overwhelming place!
We also took a day trip to beautiful Big Sur!  

I met with my OB for a follow-up visit on my ultrasound. Baby is still looking well and healthy but as a precaution my modified bed rest is to continue and restrict my activities even more so. Good thing I have 2 adorable puppies to keep me company and I have lots of knitting projects to tackle!

This is the latest project!

24 weeks!

24 weeks!! Met with my doctor this week. Baby's heartbeat sounded great and my uterus is measuring right where it should be, so Nugget should be right on track for growth. He is around 1.25-1.5lbs and approximately 12 inches (or an ear of corn:) His lungs are now developed and producing surfactant that will help inflate his lungs once he takes his first breath. Nugget's taste buds are developing and everything I eat he gets a taste of(i bet he will love chocolate)! He is able to hear outside noises including his barking brothers and loud noises can even startle him. I am feeling him move even more these days sometimes it feels like he is doing the wave:)  Now that he has a sense of touch and he is able to feel my hand on my belly and will squirm or kick it!

We had a lovely Christmas at home! Lucas cooked a pheasant mac & cheese for  Christmas dinner:) We received so many wonderful gifts from our loved ones! Christmas is Brody's favorite holiday, really enjoys unwrapping presents and playing with his new toys! Nugget even got a few gifts this year!

We spent NYE in a cabin outside Yosemite with our friends Kaitlyn and Matt. Yosemite is beautiful in winter. The waterfalls were flowing and the ground was covered in snow making for a amazing scene. We enjoyed hot chocolate and smores by the fireplace and a duck and pheasant dinner.

Since my last post Lucas has been able to feel Nugget kicking and moving around! He has become a lot more active over the past few weeks! It seems like my belly is getting bigger each day! He is weighing in around 1lb now approximately the size of a spaghetti squash. His ears are fully developed and can hear our voices now:)
